I've read half a dozen of these guides, and I'd love to try out Win 8 on a VHD, but no one tells me if I can "finalize" the VHD into a real partition once I've decided I want to stick with Win 8. Is this possible? Can I easily convert the VHD into a real partition and get rid of the Win 7 install? Or would I have to reinstall Win 8 again anyway?

Question: When I make a new tile for W8 whith OblyTile the program I want to start is starting up as desired but the contents of the program-text from the tile is displayes on the screen in notebook and I have to finish notebook before I can use the desired program. "tan linux" is my favourite it's not too bright and matches really well with my chair. I'm surprised someone hasn't come trolling along and just did "APPLE RUUUULLLLEEEES!! WOOOOO" unless I managed to miss that.

Thanks for this article. I was confused as to why IE10 opened only on the desktop after I made Chrome my default browser. I kept looking for the IE10 app. Now I understand that only one the default browser can open as an app. I like Windows 8, but this is not good.

I agree... I haven't found shopping results to be all that wonderful/reliable in *any* search engine. I can totally see Microsoft really pushing this whole issue of consumer advocacy in its anti-Google advertising. The whole issue of how Gmail handles mail comes to mind... why not Outlook.com instead? (I actually am thinking about switching since I moved from Android to WP8 recently.)
